I love all things related to the Hunger Games, Harry Potter, One Tree Hill, my favorite musicians, dogs, and elephants.
Yesterday I found out that one of my sister’s best and oldest friends was in a coma after being hit by a car on her bicycle. Today her condition worsened and now she’s waiting on life support for organ donation arrangements. She was my friend too, but I don’t know what to do for my sister. These girls met in Ms. Flagg’s kindergarten class nearly 20 years ago, and now at 24 my sister has to say her final goodbye to her oldest friend. All our lives, I’ve been the emotional one. Now somehow I have to become some sort of rock for my sister and it’s some sort of sick role reversal. I hate that this is happening to her. And to her friend’s family. Nobody should have to put their 24 year old daughter and sister in the ground. No parent should have to sign that consent form to pull the plug and harvest her organs.
This shouldn’t have happened.
Rest in peace Chelsea. Go bake kickass dessert pastries in the great beyond, girl. Have a ridiculously expensive glass of wine for me.
